69-year old Maureen Decker, Tiger’s kindergarten teacher, wants an apology for a story he told five years ago.
Apparently, in Charles Barkley’s book called, “Who’s Afraid Of A Large Black Man?”, Tiger Woods claimed he was the victim of a vicious racial attack on his first day of kindergarten.
He said, quote, “A group of sixth graders tied me to a tree, spray-painted (the N-word) on me and threw rocks at me. That was my first day of school. And the teacher really didn’t do much of anything.”
Well, Maureen Decker says that never happened, and has hired Gloria Allred to help her get her point across. She said that Decker claims that never happened, and neither Tiger or his parents ever reported that the alleged incident happened. They also said they want Tiger to retract that statement and apologize to Decker.
She didn’t say if she’d sue if he didn’t apologize, and also said she isn’t jumping on the anti-Tiger bandwagon.
Hmmm, what do you think about all of this? (Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)
