The stars gathered at Hollywood’s Nokia Theater last night for the 62nd annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

It was a night for both old and new with Mad Men winning best drama and newcomer, Modern Family winning best comedy.  Other newbies included Eric Stonestreet of Modern Family who won for best supporting actor in a comedy.  Jane Lynch of Glee won for best supporting actress in a comedy:

Big Bang’s Jim Parsons won for lead actor in a comedy:

Backstage, he talked about how he’ll celebrate:

And Edie Falco won best actress in a comedy for Nurse Jackie:

Kyra Sedgwick won best actress in a drama series for the Closer and Bryan Cranston  won best actor for Breaking Bad.  Top Chef won best reality competition program.  Best supporting actor in a drama went to Erin Paul for Breaking Bad and best actress in a drama series went to Archie Panjabi for The Good Wife…

And you have to hear host Jimmy Fallon’s tribute to the shows that won’t be returning next season: Law and Order, Lost and 24:

And finally, George Clooner won the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award.  He talked about what he did before the Emmys:
