Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and the rest of the crew are back with their on screen pranks and this time, they’re in 3D. It opened in first place this weekend, taking in $50 million dollars. It was the third straight Number One opening for the franchise, but far surpassed the $22.8 million inital opening for 2002’s Jackass: The Movie and teh $29 million debut of 2006’s Jackass Number Two. The movie also set a record for biggest October opening, topping the $48.1 million debut of Scary Movie 3 in 2003.
Red, The Social Network, Secretariat and Life As We Know It rounded out the top five.
