In an interview with Parade Magazine, Cher opened up on her past, including men.
In the past, Cher has been linked to Warren Beatty, Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, Richie Sambora and obviously Gregg Allman and Sonny Bono.
She met her current beau, Ron Zimmerman online. He’s 52 years old, Cher is 64. He is a TV screenwriter. Cher said, “Even though I’m older than him, I’d never before been with anybody over 30. Ron is short, a bit scraggly, like an absentminded professor. He’s the funniest person I have ever met, and the most eccentric — so bizarre and kind and special.”
She also said that her relationships usually last around 2 years because, “The moment the relationship goes into the phase of more commitment, it changes.”
In the article with Parade Magazine she opens up about Sonny Bono saying, “Stardom made Sonny a huge womanizer. One woman, or even five, was not enough for him. I found all this out afterward. I was trusting and faithful with him. The truth is, I’m not so sure we should’ve ever been husband and wife.”
On the topic of her many boyfriends and lovers, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Cher[/lastfm] added, “I loved all of those guys. I had the best time. I’m not man crazy, but I loved being with them. I wouldn’t give up having them in my life, ever. I found so many wonderful things about all of them. None of them are the same. Unique. It takes a very strange man to be the right man for me, there’s no mathematical equation. I’ve remained friends with the guys that I’ve been with. I stay in touch with all of them.”
Cher’s new movie, “Burlesque” hits theatres on Wednesday November 24th. Go see it!
