Kanye’s new song was lagging behind Britney’s new song on the charts last week, and Kanye went to twitter to try and make a joke.
On Friday, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kanye West[/lastfm] tweeted, “”Yo Britney, I’m really happy for you, and I’mma let you be #1, but me and Jay-Z’s single is one of the best songs of all time! LOL.”
But, nobody was laughing. [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Britney Spears[/lastfm]‘ manager went to Brit’s twitter and sarcastically tweeted, “”Thanks for ‘letting us be #1.’ Much appreciated.”
Kanye then deleted his tweet and responded with, “”On a serious note, I’m truly happy for [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Avril Lavigne[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Britney Spears[/lastfm]. No hate in 2011. I thought ‘LOL’ signified a joke . . . I didn’t get the 2011 LOL doesn’t signify a joke anymore memo.”
Avril’s new song, “What The Hell” has been fighting with Kanye and Brit for the Top spot on the charts. So now you know why he brought Avril into that.
