[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kimberly Caldwell [/lastfm]stopped by the Last.fm Discover studio this past December along with guitarist [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Michael Chaves[/lastfm]. Michael, from the band [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Low Millions[/lastfm], has also worked with many other artists. Check out his website here. The former American Idol contestant will have her long-awaited debut album finally out on April 19th. You can expect Kimberly’s love of country and rock music all over this new album, but given a modern-day pop feel thanks to one of the album’s producers [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Tommy Henricksen[/lastfm]. Check out the featured studio performance of “Desperate Girls & Stupid Boys” as well as the full-interview with Kimberly.

[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jennifer Lopez[/lastfm] & [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Steven Tyler[/lastfm], what do you think?

Do you still keep up with American Idol?

I actually like that there was a gap for you between Idol and your first album. To me, it gives you an identity, and not just “another Idol contestant making a record.”

Talk about your involvement with Camp Kindle and what it is.

Another charity you work with is the Snowdrop Foundation. Tell us about that as well

Also performed:
“Heart Like Mine”

“If You’re Gonna Fall”

“Say Love”
