This Sunday night at the 53rd Annual GRAMMYs [lastfm]Aretha Franklin[/lastfm] will receive a special tribute on music’s biggest night. Although Aretha won’t be in attendance because of health issues she will be watching at home with her friends and family.

Some of music’s biggest names will be honoring the Queen of soul on Sunday night including Florence Welch from [lastfm]Florence and the Machine[/lastfm], [lastfm]Martina McBride[/lastfm], Yolanda Adams as well as former Grammy winners [lastfm]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Jennifer Hudson[/lastfm]. All of whom will be performing a salute to Franklin with their own renditions of her classic songs.

Franklin received the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1994 and the Grammy Legend Award in 1991.  The tribute to Aretha will be one of many musical performances that night,  which could even overshadow the awards themselves.
