The Call to Serve is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching young adults the power of public service through local and national service trips.
Their adventures started in Pittsburgh this year, and has taken them all over the United States for the 3rd year in a row!
One of my closest friends decided to join an organization this year, The Call To Serve.
As the group returns today, I felt that it was only necessary to make the Pittsburgh area more aware of what this amazing group is all about and what they have accomplished!
Partnering with a variety of organizations, volunteers from the Call to Serve (CTS) provide service to those in need.
Service trips offered by CTS provides a unique opportunity for college-aged students to develop new insights into their own historical and global awareness and act upon those insights inspiring them to become productive and compassionate citizens of the world.
CTS stopped in Austin, TX. Check out the video from The Lone Star State!
CTS’s stop in New Orleans was an emotional one…
“It’s sad but I’m glad we’re here, glad we are helping to get these families back the homes that they worked so hard for.”
- Ben Petchel (Bethel Park)
In a nutshell, CTS, is a non-profit group to admire. They have gone out, all across the U.S. to help people and make a difference. While on the road, CTS documented their journey through videos and photos to share their story and raise awareness for the mission of The Call to Serve, but also to encourage others to participate in upcoming trips.
