No Drugs In Amy Winehouse’s System When She Died
The toxicology report on Amy Winehouse has come back and confirmed that she was clean. There were no illegal drugs found in her system, but she was drinking.
TMZ is reporting that according to the family, officials have yet to determine if alcohol played a part in her death.
Amy Winehouse died at her apartment in London on July 23rd. Most people are surprised by the outcome of the toxicology reports because Amy has had a long history with drug abuse problems in the past.
Earlier today, a rep for Amy’s family released a statement saying, “Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death. Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death. The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October.”
