An attorney for Mariah Yeater, the woman who accused Justin Bieber of being her baby daddy, has dropped her lawsuit, but the paternity test is still on.
Jeffrey Leving, the Chicago Lawyer who filed the suit against [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Justin Bieber[/lastfm] said, the lawsuit was removed without prejudice. That doesn’t mean the lawsuit can’t be filed again. the December 15th hearing date has been canceled.
Leving said, “This case was never dismissed. It can be refiled today or tomorrow. We are trying to settle this matter out of court with Bieber’s camp.”
Justin Bieber’s spokesman said, “As we’ve said from the beginning, it’s sad that someone would fabricate such a malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claim. We’ll continue to consider all of our options to protect Justin.”
Even with the lawsuit withdrawn, and the paternity test still scheduled, Justin Bieber may still file a lawsuit against Mariah Yeater. Bieber’s publicist said, “We intend to still hold them accountable.”
So, it’s not over yet, but isn’t it interesting that this has all changed since he said he would take the test? Think she’s backing out on her story now?
