If ever there was a signature song for an artist, this was it. If ever a song was so identified with a particular singer, this was that song.
If you had the chance, in church no less to pay tribute to this artist at their funeral service, you would respectfully sing it in a way that didn’t overshadow this singer and HER song, right? Unless you’re Pittsburgh native [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm] who has never heard of the word subtlety and has surely never resisted the chance to hear herself sing – over-the-top.
Christina is such a show-off, even when the situation calls for anything but. This day was supposed to be [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Etta James[/lastfm]‘ day, but just like every other day in [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Christina Aguilera[/lastfm]‘s life, she couldn’t resist making it Christina day. Too bad, too. She can really sing. It’s a real shame she never sings to us though. She makes the biggest mistake any artist can make. She sings to only to hear herself sing. What a waste. And Etta James deserved so much better.
