Pittsburgh is awesome.  We know this.  How great is it that so many movies are coming to our lovely city to film.  Another open casting call for the new Matt Damon movie takes place this Saturday at Tiger Gym at the old Apollo HS from 11am-4pm.

Promised Land will be directed by Gus Van Sant and also stars John Grasinski and Frances McDormand.  Frances went to my High School in Monessen.  My Mother actually taught her and still keeps in contact with her.  So awesome!  Francie won a best actress Academy Award for her role in the movie Fargo.

The casting call is open to anyone.  No acting experience is needed.  They are looking for women, men, teens and kids.  They are looking for senior citizens and anyone that can even resemble a baseball player, basketball player and cheerleader types too.  You can get more information from our TV sister station here.
