We know he’s hot. We know he’s hot. We know he’s hot. Ok. I’m guessing there are some other things we should learn about Magic Mike co-star, Channing Tatum. Although just looking at him is fine too…
1. Military man
Channing was sent to a military school in ninth grade, where he joined the football team and intended to get a scholarship to play after graduation…
2. He bangs…But it’s not what you think
Channing’s big break was being cast in Ricky Martin’s video, “She Bangs,” where he was paid $400 for a 7 day shoot.
3. A jack of all trades
He’s worked as a construction workers, a mortgage broker, a salesman at the cologne counter at Dillars, and a worker in a puppy/kitty nursery all BEFORE starting his modeling career.
4. Loved the goons
Channing’s favorite childhood movie was…..The Goonies. He says he can recite every line. Impressive.
5. Apparently, he has a thing for fairies
For their wedding day in July 2009, Channing and Jenna Dewan had a fairy-themed ceremony in Malibu at a private oceanfront estate. Because they both love fairies, they had their flower girls wear wings down the aisle and their wedding cake was a magic castle full of mythical creatures….Seriously? Talk about being in touch with his “feminine side.”
6. Working from the bathtub
Believe it or not, Channing says he likes to read all of his scripts he gets while soaking in the bathtub. Now that’s something I’d like to see.
7. He really is such a doll
As part of his role in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Channing’s character Duke was made into a Hasbro action figure. Co-stars Sienna Miller and Dennis Quaid were also immortalized in plastic.
8. This is a little uncomfortable
While filming The Eagle of the Ninth, a method actors use to keep warm is pouring a mixture of boiling water and river water down their suits. Something went horribly wrong and he burned his……..appendage. Thankfully, he says, it’s returned to normal! Yes, thankfully….
9. It was love at first acting gig
Channing met his wife Jenna Dewan on the set up Step Up. They started dating shortly after filming finished and they were married in Malibu, California on July11, 2009.
10. Taking care of business
Channing claims his modeling career has helped him with his life. How? He says, “It’s made my life, and my family’s life, a lot easier, because I never knew what I wanted to do and now they don’t really have to worry about me anymore.”
Oh, by the way. If Channing’s not enough for you, check out Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello and Alex Pettyfer in the movie Magic Mike. Don’t even know what the movie is about and with that cast, WHO CARES?????
