I was reading an article this morning and it made me start thinking about my all time favorite movies. If I had to keep my list to just a short five that is harder. But, I did it. I’m anxious to hear from you.
So, I’m reading Huffington Post today and a Hitchcock movie has bumped off a Welles one for the best movie. Here is the list for the top 10 greatest movies of all time according to THR.com and their Sight and Sound poll. Check details out here.
The big upset after 50 years is Citizen Kane being bumped to number 2 and Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo to number 1.
Out of those ten movies listed at the link above I saw one full one and half of another one. Ha! The one FULL movie I sat through was for a class in college too. So, it wasn’t by choice. So, I can’t fully agree or disagree on this poll because clearly I don’t know enough to make an opinion.
But, I will give you my top 5 movies of all time. These are in no particular order.
1. Good Will Hunting
2. JAWS (it was released before I was born)
3. Pulp Fiction
4. Breakfast Club
5. Usual Suspects
Here are Bubba’s:
1. Red Rock West
2. Usual Suspects
3. SuperBad
4. Beetle Juice (Bubba claims this was a big drinking game movie for him)
5. The Pursuit Of Happyness
Here are Shelley’s:
1. Titanic
2. The Hangover
3. The Notebook
4. The Santa Claus
5. Shawshank Redemption
