As the release date for No Doubt‘s sixth studio album approaches, the band is releasing bits and pieces of the story, all of it important in its own way to fans. First to arrive was the album name. Then came the name and art for the first single, “Settle Down.” Gwen Stefani‘s brother Todd produced a series of webisodes that have been surfacing almost weekly.

To accompany the release of the Push And Shove album cover, the band released a new webisode documenting the band’s photoshoot with famed Los Angeles graffiti artist El Mac.

A rather soft spoken individual, El Mac is well known outside of his Los Angeles stomping ground. Originally from Arizona, El Mac made his way to L.A. to work along side other respected artists. Since arriving in the City Of Angels, Mac, as his friends call him, has created dozens of jaw-dropping murals throughout the downtown area. Because he paints from his own photos, Mac shot each member individually so that he could use the photos as reference material for his line-art style painting process. The resulting unique works were then combined to make a single, impressively simple album cover.

“His technique and ability is just mind blowing! The idea of him working with us on this record is classic,” said Gwen Stefani of working with El Mac.

No Doubt’s Push And Shove will be available everywhere September 25th.
