What an amazing experience  I had August 14th was at The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium.  I was able to participate in media day for Shark Week at the zoo and dive in and swim with 5 sand tiger sharks.  The biggest was a female named “Large Marge” who was near 10 feet and over 300lbs.  WOW!

They came close, but not too close.  Snorkeling with them was absolutely amazing and a once in a lifetime experience.  They were very docile and kept to themselves.  Now, the professional divers that were with me compared them to puppy dogs.  I’m not so sure about that.  HA!

Thanks again to the Zoo for this great event.  Shark Week ends on August 19th.  It is Discovery channels best series and they are celebrating 25 years.  For more information on our amazing zoo check here.
