Rumors are flying around the Internet that Ellie Goulding and Skrillex have broken up after one year together. The pair haven’t confirmed reports, but they are flying around from multiple outlets including US Weekly, NME and Spinner.

Sources tell the outlets that the split is down to not being able to make their long distance relationship work. With Goulding ramping up promotion of her new album Halcyon and Skrillex touring nonstop, the pair probably aren’t getting to see each other much.

Don’t you worry about Ellie Goulding, however. The British singer is up for Favorite Breakout Artist in the 2013 People’s Choice Awards. She also has a track on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn 2 soundtrack. And she’s recently announced her January and February 2013 tour of the U.S. and Canada.

And at the very least, perhaps this will lead to some inspiration for her next round of songwriting.
