Happening tonight in Sewickley is Light Up Night! The streets will be filled with vendors and seating and even ice carvings as well as horse drawn carriage rides. Food and fireworks and fun with a “Find The Elves” contest. Scoop is here.
Kid’s Christmas Cartoons! While this is not a truly fully FREE event it is seriously frugal for you and the family. It is only FIVE dollars per child. Santa is providing a Christmas cartoon fest at the Toonseum with special guest “Randy” from a Christmas Story. It starts Saturday, December 1st at 11am. You can create crafts and ornaments and listen to stories and watch cartoons! SANTA hosts the event so you will see him too! You must register before you head to this event though. How about some FREE food tasting! Yum! A FREE Market District celebration will be happening Saturday, December 1st from noon to 4pm. There will be LIVE cooking demo’s, holiday music and more. This will be at the Robinson and Shadyside location. Check here.
Also, there are more fun things to do with the kiddos at the market district this weekend! Like Saturday you can have breakfast with SANTA from 9-11am. Some light breakfast foods and drinks and pics with Santa! Sign up at the South Hills Village location. Check here!
National Cookie Day is Tuesday, December 4th at 9am at the Market District. You can make your own gingerbread coloring book, gingerbread chain or gingerbread ornament to take home! The event information is here.
How about free photos for the holidays and you can let your kids create a great FREE frame at the Home Depot workshop this weekend. What a cool and fun activity for the kids while you are out shopping. Stop by and make a FREE frame and display it at home! All the information is here.
Don’t forget our beautiful city! The Macy’s Downtown windows are all decorated and the Creche is being viewed now on Grant St. and all the Holiday items in PPG place…they are all FREE to see!
