I was late again. This time discovering a local Pittsburgh talent that has been making a name for himself performing around the area for several years while attending Duquesne University. Much to his Mother and Father’s delight by the way, he graduated earlier this year. Much to Nick’s delight, and ours, he opened our Pinktober Rocker event at The Hard Rock Cafe on October 30th featuring our good friend and headliner Andy Grammer.
That is when I discovered I was late again. As soon as I called Nick to the stage and went back to my seat I could hear people around me saying, “I know him.” After his set which featured a couple of originals and a signature version of “Use Me” by Bill Withers, I got up on the stage and very spontaneously did something I had never done before. I invited Nick to play the same room that has recently featured Matchbox Twenty, Colbie Caillat, Neon Trees and our very first Baierl Acura Theater performer, coincidentally, Andy Grammer.
We can all say we knew him when. Please enjoy our very first local and unsigned (not for long we predict) talent into the Baierl Acura Theater at CBS Radio/Pittsburgh, Nick Marzock! Oh and he can draw as you will see, too. Nick, just promise you’ll remember us.
