This is only our second year of the lovely Elf On The Shelf visiting our home. I know a lot of you have had him visit your homes way longer. Maybe there are a few that are “newbies” like me or maybe don’t even have one.
Cousins of mine bought the Elf for my girls last year. They love their “Stan.” It is a real original name they gave him huh? Stan arrives the night after Thanksgiving and arrives magically somewhere in the home each and every morning. Each night he flies back to the North Pole to let Santa know how well the children behaved that day. He is sort of “Santa’s eyes” if you will.
So, each morning “Stan” reappears in a new place in our house from the night before. The girls can’t wait to get up in the morning to see where “Stan” arrives from the previous night. He always is in a new spot. Take a look at some of the places he has landed.

Here is Stan in our powder room. Just hanging out on the towel rack. This bathroom is used mostly during the day where my girls are. So Stan is watching them.

Stan was found hiding inside a decorative tree. But, he was truly still WATCHING the girls to make sure they were being good.

Stan was seen on top of our fridge. He was hanging out next to our snowmen. Stan felt this was a good place since it was HIGH above everyone and he had a good view to watch what was happening.

Stan was stuck in one of the drawers of our dining room hutch. He had a good view of all things happening in this room too.

Stan likes to tell time. But, he also likes to be high up and above things to see all that is happening. Here he is found a cozy place in the morning standing above the clock.

Stan was found on the window sill. Right next to our doggie’s medicine. He knows we go to this area a lot during the day, so I think he wanted us to make sure we were paying attention.
Stan has been a real hit in our household. Yours too? Where has your Elf visited?
As parents you know we have a pretty big responsibility everyday with Stan. If you know what I mean.

#Blessed to wake in panic as to “where the elf on the shelf is”. Parents will feel me on this anxiety

Here are the details on Elf On The Shelf. Read here.
Stan sometimes creeps me out. His eyes seem to follow you wherever you go. I’m sure his eyes were designed that way.
So, have you been naughty or nice this year? What will Stan tell Santa?
