Bruno Mars is taking us back to the late 60s with the new video for his current single, “When I Was Your Man.”
The video begins with a piano set on a sound stage floor fitted with old school television cameras while film crew walk back and forth decked out in vintage vests, bell bottoms, and retro glasses.
Mars then seats himself at the piano and as the lights dim, begins to belt out the ballad with images of a woman appearing during various moments of the song.
Also noticeable is a glass placed a top the piano, meant to represent an alcoholic beverage.
Clearly, Mars is hurt by a past relationship and in the song, revels at all he could have done to save the relationship.
After the song is over, Mars composes himself and then walks off the stage but not before grabbing his beverage.
Look for Mars to take the stage at the GRAMMYs this Sunday along with Sting and Rihanna.
