While CeeLo Green is currently riding high as one of the celebrity coaches on popular TV singing competition show The Voice, the hip-hop vocalist will have to face very serious legal issues when he is prosecuted for dosing a female companion with the drug MDMA (more commonly known as “Molly”) without her knowledge, though previous charges of sexual assault against the woman have been dropped.

Green “allegedly slipped ecstasy to a 33-year-old female while the two were dining at a downtown Los Angeles restaurant sometime between July 13 and July 14, 2012,” according to the Los Angeles District Attorney on the case (via CNN), with the two later going to her hotel room. If found guilty of the charge, Green faces up to four years in prison on the felony count of furnishing a controlled substance.
