Pittsburgh Frugal Mom has great ideas at her website, but I’m going to share some savings for you here.  We all want the house to look clean an organized for guests!  Especially those last minute guests you don’t count on!  Okay..so read on!

Do you have papers or newspapers piling up in your home office or on your dining room table?  Use them to clean?  Yep!  When I read this from Dana I was confused.  The BEST way to clean glass with windex is by using those newspapers! Wear gloves if you have them since the paper print will come off on your hands, but you will NOT get a better shine without streaks and smudges than with newspaper!

Here is another hint!  White vinegar in a spray bottle!  You can dilute it with 1/4 vinegar to two cups water, but Dana uses it STRAIGHT! Use it and it is better than most cleaning products!  Spray those mirrors, windows, glass and shiny stuff and then wipe them clean! Don’t saturate those windows though.  I know if I let my 8 and 4 year old do it, it would be a mess!

White vinegar can be used for holiday cleaning for dirty and stinky garbage disposals.  Yep..freeze a chunk of it and then throw it down your disposal to melt!

We ALL have dirty microwaves!  Well, you don’t want those family members looking inside your microwave!  Take 1/4 cup vinegar to 1 cup of water and microwave it for about 5 minutes!  Wipe away the scum and you are done!

Great savings and tips here for the upcoming holiday!
