Our Pittsburgh Steelers may not be making an appearance in this year’s big game but our delicious ketchup will be!
H.J. Heinz Co. will be advertising a 30-second spot in the game for the first time in 16 years and only the second time in the company’s existence. This comes as a surprise to anyone who knows Heinz’ business model considering they have always been very tight when it comes to their marketing budget.
A :30 spot this year is being estimated to cost around $4 million. No wonder they have taken some time off! They are probably still paying the bill from the last time!
Whatever the reason may be, I’m so excited to see a little bit of home in the game this year. Next year, let’s make sure our team makes a cameo as well 😉
