When James Franco, who was involved in that Instagram texting controversy last week, some thought it was part of a viral marketing stunt for his film, “Palo Alto,” a short story collection written by Franco. The movie includes one story about a young girl named April (played by Emma Roberts) who becomes romantically involved with her soccer coach (Franco). But he actually apologized on Live With Kelly and Michael on Friday, saying “I’m embarrassed, and I guess I’m just a model of how social media is tricky.” He says, “It’s a way people meet each other today but what I’ve learned is you don’t know who’s on the other end.”
