Dear Scott Email: Free Drink At Bar Isn’t Free At All
My married girlfriends and I went out last weekend. Though I’m not married, I am in a committed relationship and consider myself, “not single.” They accepted drinks from guys in the bar all night and couldn’t believe I didn’t. I’ve always thought accepting a drink meant you were available. Plus you owe the guy some attention, which I’m not comfortable with. They thought it was great to not buy a drink all night and the flirting was innocent. I’d rather buy my drinks and not feel guilty for pretending I’m available. Who is right, them or me?
If you are married do you accept drinks from men in bars?
