Dear Scott:

We were an hour into our drive to Myrtle Beach a couple of weeks ago when my wife questioned whether she had turned off her curling iron. I assured her she did, but she started to freak and insisted we turn around and go home to make sure the house wasn’t about to burn down. So we did, and of course the curling iron was NOT on. And this is not the first time this has happened. Is this just a female thing? I even check the house before we leave to make sure everything is okay, but it doesn’t help when she gets it in her head that something is maybe wrong.

Signed,

Make the worry stop in Finleyville
