…NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! cue bombs going off, a plague, mass destruction… alright worst things could happen but you’re pretty P-Oed!

John Mayer Drops New Single ‘Paper Doll’

Last month, John Mayer announced that his followup to Born And Raised is on its way. In a video titled Studio Session No. 3 that was released last week, Mayer gave a glimpse into the first single off his forthcoming album Paradise Valley.

In the clip we see Mayer in the studio putting the final touches on his new single “Paper Doll.” He grabs an acoustic guitar as he hums the lyrics while producer Don Was (who as previously produced albums for a pair of Mayer’s idols, The Rolling Stones and Bonnie Raitt) looks on.

Demi Lovato Addresses Rehab Stint At Chicago Concert: ‘I’ve Gotten Through It And You Can Do It Too’

Demi Lovato performed at the B96 Summer Bash (a Radio.com station) in Chicago on Saturday (June 15) in support of her latest album Demi. While there, Lovato surprised concert goers and fans with a touching speech about her particular connection to the city where her rehab facility was located.

“So before I start this next song, I just want to tell you guys a little story. Really fast, not going to take up too much time,” Lovato said. “A couple years ago, it’s no secret, I had to go into treatment for a bunch of issues. I mean, I could name them all [but] we we ain’t got time. I had to go away to treatment and I want to let you know that this treatment center is called Timberline Knolls. It was here in Lemont, Illinois.”

“Every time that I play Chicago, I don’t know what it is,” Lovato continued. “Maybe it’s because I felt so much love here and I’ve been through so much. I just want you guys to know that when I come to Chicago, I never forget that this place is the place that saved my life.”

“If anybody out there is dealing with an eating disorder, substance abuse, cutting, bullying, whatever it is,” she told the crowd. “I want you guys to know that I’ve been through it and that I’ve gotten through it and you can do it too.”

John Legend Returns With New EDM-Influenced Single Featuring Kimbra

John Legend has returned with a brand new track. And it’s unlike anything you’ve heard from him before.

Legend premiered his new single, “Made To Love” on Monday (June 17) via the blog, Hello Beautiful. The song has a little bit of that spaghetti western feel Legend nailed on his song, “Who Did That To You,” which was his contribution to the movie, Django Unchained. But for this one, Legend manages to add a bit of EDM and a dash of classical flair that includes a segment of operatic vocals. On this one, percussion (specifically African tribal drums and handclaps) take the place of his usual piano-centric melody as he croons, “I was sent here for you/We were made to love.”

Kimbra, who sang on Gotye’s 2012 smash hit “Somebody That I Used To Know,” provides the haunting backup vocals and even shows off her scatting skills. The song was produced by Da Internz, Dave Tozer, Nana Kwabena and Kanye West. Legend has worked with Kanye before and is reportedly featured on the rapper’s most recent album, Yeezus.

The song will be on Legend’s upcoming album Love In The Future, out June 25. This is his first studio album since 2008′s Evolver.

Bubba Show: Pittsburgher, Tony Award Winner Billy Porter

I went to high school with Billy Porter.

Last Sunday (June 9), he won a Tony for Best Lead Actor for his role in “Kinky Boots”…which is amazing.

CBSPittsburgh.com said that as he walked the red carpet last night, he had a message for his hometown.

“Hey Pittsburgh. I love you all. Thank you for being so supportive. My momma’s having a party right now at her place,” Porter said.

So cool to see people from Pittsburgh doing such amazing things!

‘True Blood’ Music Recap: Mikky Ekko Subs In For Eric Burdon

Over the course of its five seasons, “True Blood” has consistently been one of the best shows on television not only for fans of vampires but for music fans as well. Each episode is named after a song title, and a number of artists have contributed new recordings to the show. Every Monday during season six, Radio.com will speak with “True Blood” Music Supervisor Gary Calamar, who has been nominated for GRAMMYs twice for his work on the show. To see our weekly recaps from season five, go here.

Season one’s premiere episode was titled “Who Are You, Really?” That was a question that Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) was asking of her former paramour Bill Compton (played by her real-life husband, Stephen Moyer, who also directed the episode). At the end of last season, Compton appeared to die, only to be immediately resurrected with even greater powers. In the season premiere, when Sookie comes face to face with Bill, she is skeptical that it is actually the vampire she used to love. So “Who Are You, Really?” by Mikky Ekko seems to be a fitting song for all this.

But as Gary Calamar tells Radio.com, there was originally different music planned for the season premiere, but a change of the episode’s title necessitated a change of plans. “This was an interesting situation,” he said. “The first script for season six was originally titled ‘Don’t Let me Be Misunderstood,’ and we went ahead and recorded a beautiful, ‘True Blood-y’ new version of the song with Eric Burdon (who of course sang the original Animals version) with Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley, Postal Service). We were thrilled with the new version.”

Bubba Show was so excited Tuesday to talk to singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles. She will be playing our first Star Sessions I show Thursday night at Carnegie Music Hall and Library in Homestead. Ginny Blackmore will be her opening act.

Sara talked about yoga, hugging, loving and how music impacts her. I was lucky enough to meet her a few years back when she came into the 100.7 studios. She was one of the most down to earth, nice, sweet women in 16 years of broadcasting I’ve met.

Some of the things she says in this interview today was: “I creep people out because I’m a hugger and I love to hug.” “I prefer a hug and I love a good hugger.”

She also said hugging is all about yoga. Whatever that means! Ha!

She just got off a solo tour, so she is super excited to have a full band with her to do some older songs and new music.

She said she someone needs to step away from writing music and left life and experience just happen.

She admits she is NOT a good cook, but says: “I make a pretty good breakfast. A good meal with eggs that is the easiest.”

“What is the largest appropriate age gap that two people should date?”

I didn’t think it really mattered then he asked…

“So what would you say if I told you I’m dating a 37 year old?”
