I%20wanted%20to%20buy%2027%20angel%20including%20one%20for%20the%20shooter%26%238217%3Bs%20mom%2C%20who%20everyone%20is%20forgetting%20about%2C%20but%20this%20one%20is%20for%20Dylan%20Hockley.%20My%20son%20is%20an%20elementary%20teacher%20and%20his%20birthdate%20is%203%2F12.%20Very%20close%20to%20Dylan%26%238217%3Bs%20birthday%21%20Also%2C%20his%20last%20name%20reminded%20us%20of%20hockey%2C%20we%20are%20big%20hockey%20fans.%0A%0AConnie

I%20decided%20that%20this%20year%20instead%20of%20decorating%20my%20cubical%20at%20my%20office%20with%20the%20traditional%20decorations%20I%20would%20take%20the%20time%20and%20write%20down%20all%20the%20names%20of%20the%20victims%20on%20an%20angel%20and%20hang%20them%20up.%20It%20was%20sad%20to%20see%20so%20many%20angels%20hanging%20in%20my%20cube%2C%20but%20knowing%20that%20everyone%20who%20walks%20by%20will%20see%20and%20remember%20them.%20I%20also%20printed%20a%20part%20of%20President%20Obama%26%238217%3Bs%20speech%20which%20reads%20%26%238220%3BHere%20in%20Newtown%2C%20I%20come%20to%20offer%20the%20love%20and%20prayers%20of%20a%20nation.%20I%20am%20very%20mindful%20that%20mere%20words%20cannot%20match%20the%20depths%20of%20your%20sorrow%2C%20nor%20can%20they%20heal%20your%20wounded%20hearts.%20I%20can%20only%20hope%20it%20helps%20for%20you%20to%20know%20that%20you%E2%80%99re%20not%20alone%20in%20your%20grief.%26%238221%3B

I%20have%20made%20a%20homemade%20ornament%20in%20honor%20of%20the%20children%20of%20sandyhook.%20Inside%20is%20each%20name%20of%20each%20child%20that%20lost%20their%20life%20that%20day.%20They%20will%20hang%20on%20my%20tree%20and%20forever%20have%20a%20Christmas.%20

My%20name%20is%20Ms.Liz%20Popowicz%2C%20and%20I%20am%20a%207th%20Grade%20English%2FSocial%20Studies%20teacher%20at%20Propel%20Montour%2C%20a%20public%20Charter%20School%20right%20outside%20the%20city%20of%20Pittsburgh.%20%20On%20Monday%20of%20this%20week%2C%20my%20students%20each%20read%20the%20names%20of%20one%20of%20the%20victims%20and%20viewed%20some%20news%20coverage%20of%20the%20events%20that%20took%20place%20on%2012%2F14%2F12.%20%20They%20were%20deeply%20moved%20and%20immediately%20wanted%20to%20do%20something%20to%20help.%20%20They%20wrote%20letters%20that%20will%20be%20sent%20out%20this%20afternoon%2C%20and%20are%20wearing%20badges%20today%20on%20their%20uniforms%20that%20represent%20the%20name%20of%20one%20of%20the%20children%20or%20teachers%20that%20were%20taken%20too%20soon.%20%20%0AIn%20addition%2C%20after%20listening%20to%20your%20morning%20show%2C%20I%20suggested%20to%20the%20students%20that%20we%20participate%20in%20the%20%26%238220%3BAngel%20Project%26%238221%3B.%20%20My%20students%20made%20Angels%20that%20represented%20the%20child%20or%20teacher%20they%20felt%20most%20connected%20to.%20%20Every%20child%20is%20represented%2C%20some%20more%20than%20once.%20%20This%20was%20a%20truly%20moving%20week%20for%20me%20as%20a%20teacher%2C%20seeing%20my%207th%20graders%20independently%20want%20to%20help%20and%20feel%20so%20empathetic%20towards%20the%20children.%20%20Many%20of%20them%20have%20brothers%20and%20sisters%20that%20are%20the%20same%20age%20as%20their%20new%20Angels.%20%0AI%20am%20going%20to%20forward%20you%20three%20emails%20from%20this%20address%20that%20have%20pictures%20of%20their%20Angels%2C%20and%20a%20picture%20of%20the%20angel%20that%20I%20created%20for%20Victoria%20Soto%2C%20the%20victim%20who%20I%20feel%20the%20most%20connected%20to.%20%0AThank%20you%20for%20doing%20this%20project.%20%20It%20is%20a%20great%20ting%20you%20are%20doing%20for%20the%20victims%20and%20the%20community%20of%20Newtown.%20%0AMerry%20Christmas%2C%20and%20Happy%20New%20Year%20to%20you%20and%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20morning%20crew%21%20%3D%29%20%0A%0A%0A-Sincerely%2C%20%0AMs.%20Liz%20Popowicz%20%3D%29%0A
