“People say, ‘Hey why did you cut your hair after the video?’ It was because I had told myself I wouldn’t cut my hair until I heard my song on the radio.”
When Robin Thicke was recording “Blurred Lines” last year it’s doubtful he ever envisioned the song to be played with instruments you’d likely see in an elementary school classroom. But last night on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ this is exactly what happened.
When Robin Thicke stopped by Radio.com HQ to discuss his new album, ‘Blurred Lines (out this week), we bent his ear on sex, romance, pick-up lines and real-deal, full-fledged, forever love.
“With this album I decided just to make fun songs that everybody can sing along to and dance to,” he said. “I just want to write stuff that makes people feel good.”
The predominant focus of Comic-Con is certainly not music, but that doesn’t mean the stars don’t want to talk about their favorite tunes.
On the heels of releasing new track “The Good Life” earlier this week and “Give It 2 U” featuring Kendrick Lamar two weeks ago, Thicke dropped another new song, “Ain’t No Hat 4 That,” last night (July 17).
With six nominations each, Justin Timberlake and Macklemore are tied for the most MTV VMA nominations at this year’s awards show, taking place on August 25 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
With Thicke taking the lead, the pop song is almost unrecognizable. Which, this time around, isn’t a bad thing.
He’s back at it and its short and sweet! I so dig. This summer has just an incredible amount of new fun funky fresh sounds that DJ Earworm fuses into a sexy sizzling anthem!
Robin Thicke is still riding high on the success of his first No. 1 “Blurred Lines, but he’s also looking to follow that triumph with his risqué new track “Give It 2 U,” which dropped earlier this week.
